How to Set up POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail for Smartphone with Exchange 2007
POP is typically carried over TCP port 110, whereas IMAP uses TCP port 143. Both protocols can (and should) be secured with SSL, in which case POP uses port 995 and IMAP uses port 993. The Exchange implementation of both protocols supports several authentication methods, including plain credentials and GSSAPI, which can be used for Kerberos-based logons.

This should fix problems with multiple SMTP addresses.
The 0×85010014 error means the same thing as HTTP_500. Essentially you aren’t authenticating correctly, the SMTP addressing is off, or you have SSL enabled in a place where it shouldn’t.

Set up a new account:
* Tap Start > Messaging.

Now you’re ready to set up your account manually.
* On the Home screen, click Start > Messaging, and select an account.
* Click Menu > Options > New Account.
* In Your name, enter your display name for e-mail messages.
* In E-mail address, enter the e-mail address for this account.
* Click Next.
* Enter the information above as appropriate until setup is complete, and click Finish.
Caution
If you save your password and then lose your phone, whoever finds your phone might be able to gain access to your e-mail.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a security protocol that enables you to send personal information in a more secure manner over the Internet.
When you send a message from an account that you have with an Internet service provider (ISP) or from an account that you access using a VPN server connection (typically a work account), Messaging always tries to use an SSL connection. However, sometimes the e-mail server on the other end doesn’t support SSL, so in order to send the message, it is sent without an SSL
